Back to Travian

Back to Travian again ... I didn't play for a while because I was working at 600 Morgan Street in Santa Rosa (the Homeless Service Center) as a volunteer for 2 months. Now that I'm done with that, it's back to Travian.

My last village was named after the Teutons (Teutonia). This time it's named after the Romans (Romania). Funny that's the name of a country.

Anyways, somebody tried to farm me, so I started building a cranny. I haven't gotten very far yet. It's funny to be so little into the game so far. A lot of attackers are attacking every day (like 7+ now), and I've only been doing it for a little while now.

Travian

Way back in the year 1983, I spent what seemed to be an entire month playing a game called 'Jumpman Junior'. These days, I'm playing a game called 'Travian' (Travian US Servers). I've found that it is something like a game I used to play in colllege that I think was called 'Nobunaga's Revenge'. It's also a lot like a game I played when I was a young teenager called 'Mule'.

In Mule and Nobunaga's revenge, the players build little kingdoms based upon growing things, and seeing how the progress goes. In Nobunaga's revenge, the player can also go to war.

Travian is a lot like this, but it's on the web. So far it's a lot of fun to play. I'm behind a lot of players, because I guess I started this round late, but so far it's fun. One of the things that I like is that it seems like once you have built a 'Palace', your village can't be conquered. So I've been playing it for about 3 weeks so far and even though I get attacked by more advanced players, the game hasn't ended yet.
